World Wrestling Entertainment and TMZ have confirmed that iconic star Ric Flair is recovering after surgery. Reports confirmed that Flair was in a medically induced coma but representatives for ‘The Nature Boy’ said the procedure was not for heart related issues.
Fans and fellow wrestlers alike took to social media to wish the legendary superstar well following his medical problems. The 68 year old has been wrestling for a career spanning 40 years beginning with his debut in 1972. On March 31, 2012, while still contracted to TNA, Flair became the first person to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, the second time as part of the Four Horsemen. Flair’s daughter Charlotte followed in her fathers footsteps by making her debut in 2015 and is currently wrestling on the WWE’s Smackdown show.
