Video – Dublin Cyclist Rugby Tackles Bike Thief

How quick can a bike be robbed?? Less than 17 seconds based on this video. One of our senior mechanics was very lucky to get away with about €200 worth of damage rather than losing his carbon racing bike. This happened in Clontarf over the weekend and we would like to urge all bike owners to lock their bikes at all times even if you are just leaving it for under a minute. Please like and share this video to help us raise awareness.!

A video has emerged of a brazen thief being rugby tackled to the ground by a Dublin cyclist. The video was taken from CCTV outside 360 Cycles in Clontarf where the man himself works as a bicycle mechanic.

The whole incident took place in less than a minute and shows the thief and another man attempting to seize the opportunity to steal the bike as it’s lying against the wall. He wasn’t counting on the bikes owner giving chase and absolutely nailing him to the ground with a tackle Paul O’Connell would be proud of.

The staff at 360 Cycles posted the clip on their Facebook page with the message
