TV Broadcaster Keith Chegwin Dies Aged 60

TV broadcaster and actor Keith Chegwin has died aged 60. Known for his ad-lib style of presenting, Chegwin became a household name in the 1970’s presenting programmes such as Multi-Coloured Swap Shop and Cheggers Plays Pop.

After battling alcoholism he returned to T.V fame on The Big Breakfast in their Down Your Doorstep segment. He went on to host the same show along with It’s A Knockout in 1999.

In 2011 he played himself in an episode of Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchants BBC series ‘Extras’. Chegwin also took part in Celebrity Big Brother in 2015.

His family announced his passing today following a long battle with a lung disease.
