If you share our love for Retro Gaming then you’re in luck. Ireland’s first Retro Gaming Conference is coming to Dublin this October. The 8 Bit Conference will take place on the 21st & 22nd of October in Griffith College.
The event is being organised by a group of retro gamers who see the retro market as starting from 1977’s Atari 2600 and everything in between all the way up to the notorious Playstation 1.
Over the course of the two day event they promise entertainment, rare games, expert panels, competitions with prizes, cosplay and auctions.
The auction will take place at 12:30 on both days and will offer fans the chance to bid and bag themselves rare items including a sealed Gameboy, Japanese Gamecubes and lots more. Fans are encouraged to turn out in their favourite costumes with a masquerade competition for all ages complete with prizes at 4:30 each day.
If you’re the competitive type there will be gaming tournaments spread across the weekend at various times. Some of the classics available to battle fellow fans include Donkey Kong, Mario, Tekken and Street Fighter.
Tickets for the 8 Bit Conference are available to purchase through 8bitconference.com starting at €19.99
