Dublin Fire Brigade have said one of their crew members suffered an ear injury while attending a fire after a firework was thrown. It’s the latest incident in a long line of attacks on the brave men and women who risk their lives everyday to ensure our safety.
Crews regularly have to deal with missiles and objects being thrown at the units, often leading to the same unit having to return to the station. This renders it unavailable for further emergencies until repairs have been completed.
As stations around the country gear up for the toughest and busiest night of the year many are calling for tougher punishment for anyone caught attacking these brave men and women, something we’d all agree on.
