The Bray Air Display 2017 Ireland’s biggest air festival returns this weekend on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of July. We’ve got all the details you need to know if you’re planning on heading along.
Taking place over two days starting at 12 noon each day it kicks off with ‘On the ground’ activity followed by the air display itself at 3:30pm on Saturday and 2:00pm on Sunday. There will also be a huge range of rides and activities at the funfair located along the seafront.
If you get peckish there is a tasty Food & Craft Village with over 30 food stalls and live music and lots more. The Bray Air Display itself will feature over 40 aircraft including 12 jets and 18 high quality air display acts. Some of the aircraft taking to the sky over the weekend include Royal Jordanian Falcons, British Spitfire, Norwegian MIG and Vampires, Spanish Airforce F-18 Jet, Irish Coastguard and the Patrouille Tranchant.
The whole event itself is free however if you want to view the aerobatic display in style you can purchase a VIP hospitality package for €75.00 which includes Access to exclusive enclosure, reserved grandstand, a seat on the shoreline, hot finger food, a souvenir programme, complementary soft drinks and private toilets.
With crowds of 140,000 attending last years event the organisers are encouraging people to use public transport where possible. Traffic restrictions and road closures will be in place. We’d advise you get there early to claim a nice spot for the day. For more information you can visit http://www.brayairdisplay.com/
