A Lending Hand To Dublin’s Homeless

A Lending Hand

The homeless plight in Dublin shows no sign of improving however one organisation ‘A Lending Hand’ is assisting in any way they can. The group offer assistance to anyone struggling including families, old people and those in emergency accommodation.

‘A Lending Hand’ and their generous volunteers set up on Dame Street in the middle of the city every Monday night. Here they offer out free sandwiches, hot meals and sleeping bags where available to anyone living rough on the streets.

Just this week one of the fantastic volunteers named Brian who is retired and cooked over 50 individual 4 in 1 chicken, curry, rice and chips was stuck for a lift from Ballyfermot to Dame Street. Gala cabs stepped in to offer a lift however there were floods of offers of a lift for Brian on the post on their Facebook page. If you want to find out more or offer anything to the amazing group of volunteers you can visit their A Lending Hand Facebook page.
